For the 13th time, September was all about automotive lighting: One week after the International Motor Show (IAA), the International Symposium on Automotive Lighting (ISAL) attracted experts from the automotive industry. Representatives from OSRAM Continental were also on site to talk, among other things, about projection solutions and sensor fusion.
As one of the world's most important symposiums for automotive lighting, ISAL is held every two years and provides a platform for experts from the fields of lighting design, engineering and safety to exchange ideas and information about the latest technologies.
One of the main topics of this year’s event was projection - one of the strongest trends in lighting technology. In his presentation, Dr. Michael Rosenauer, Head of Advanced Development at OSRAM Continental, offered a more detailed insight into the possible areas of application and technical solutions.
In addition to projections, OSRAM Continental presented another technology with great future potential in detail. In his presentation about sensor fusion, Dr. Maximilian Austerer, Head of Technical Business Development, showed, among other things, the potential of high-resolution lighting functions and how they can be made even more efficient and precise in the future through data fusion.
